One of my spontaneous purchases last year were tickets to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. I tried purchasing Taylor Swift The Eras Tour concert tickets prior to that, but I was one among the many who wasn’t able to get into my cart in time to pay for my selected tickets. To my dismay, I didn’t want to be empty-handed. For some reason, I stumbled on a post about the Summer Olympics to be held in Paris… my favorite place to shop! I was then on a mission… if I can’t get into any of the Eras Tour, then I will get into the Olympics!

Summer Olympics + Paris can be exciting… and also chaotic… BUT I was up for the adventure!

I missed the first phase of the Olympics ticket sale. So came the opportunity for the second phase and I jumped on it! The experience was like the Eras Tour concert ticket sale, where you are queued up before you can actually put anything in the cart… then you must have fast fingers when paying for them!

First time to go to the Olympics so I tried to purchase Opening Ceremony tickets… lo and behold, the available tickets were at least EUR 600! No, thank you. Browsed for other sports that were affordable and I was able to purchase the max tickets for at least 3 events: Beach Volleyball, Swimming, and Concorde Urban Project — where they will have live entertainment and will be hosting the urban sports (Basketball 3×3, BMX Freestyle, Breaking, Skateboarding Street and Skateboarding Park)!

I was able to gather my crew who will claim the other tickets that were purchased. Accommodation has been booked almost a year before the event. Transportation is yet to be booked.

Excited for this event and hoping to finalize the itinerary soon.
