Garlic Noodles

What is it?

This dish is so easy to make that has so many different variations and you can even add your own customization. It’s basically made of these main ingredients: your choice of noodles (pasta), sauce mixture, and of course garlic (I prefer lots of it).

Some customization I have done in the past is to add scallions, onions, parmesan, and even fried egg! It just puts the garlic noodles to a whole different level of goodness!

Ingredients

Servings: 6-8

  • 16 oz (or 1 lb) thin spaghetti noodles (angel hair works too, I have seen others use regular spaghetti noodles as well)
  • 1 garlic head (or 8-10 cloves)
  • 1 bunch scallions
  • 8 Tablespoon Butter (I prefer salted but unsalted works too)

SAUCE

  • 4 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 4 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients (brown sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil) until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Boil pasta noodles according to package instructions. Drain. Set aside.
  3. Chop garlic and scallions.
  4. In a large pan or skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  5. Saute the garlic and half of the scallions (leave some of the green part for garnish) in the butter until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  6. Turn off heat.
  7. Add pasta noodles and sauce mixture. Mix well until well combined.
  8. Garnish with the green onions.
  9. Enjoy with optional toppings: grated parmesan cheese, fried egg, fried garlic, bacon, chili flakes, sriracha!
