I had a chance to visit Vegas over the long weekend! Getting a comped room and some free play was like hitting the jackpot before even hitting the casino floor!
For 3 night and 4 days… I was able to check out and play some slots at 9 properties:
1. The Venetian:
Always has been the favorite out of the many hotels I have stayed at in the strip… since comp nights were offered here… this was home during my stay.

2. Palazzo:
Connected to the Venetian and its newer property… it was obligatory to visit and try my luck here. No… was not a winner… though my $100 lasted me for a couple hours in the penny slots! Both the Venetian and Palazzo offer the Sphere view for an additional fee. No thanks!

3. Wynn:
Definitely on my list to stay next time if complimentary nights are offered!

4. Caesar’s Palace
This property also offered comped nights, so why not take advantage of it. Although the rooms are dated, the casino area and walkways are so packed.

5. Bellagio:
Part of the MGM family, this one is a classic with the dancing fountains every 15 minutes from 7pm to midnight. Nope didn’t feel lucky here either.

6. New York New York:
Closest to the T-Mobile Arena, the casino area felt so cramped but pretty cool how the inside definitely felt a miniature NY city (another city that never sleeps). I had some luck with the penny machines but then gave it all back!

7. Paris:
With its Eiffel tower and Parisian themed casino, I felt lucky in here. I doubled my money playing random slot machines! This was where I saw for the first time in Vegas that people were getting hand pays on a penny slots… one machine paid out $1.7k then another $7.4k! Must. Be. Nice.

8. Flamingo:
Since I haven’t been in here and it looked really old, thought maybe it would be a little generous. Nope! Nada! It just took my money but I thought this was one among the fastest to take your drink order and serve you drinks! I realized it was a short 10 minute stop and I don’t even have photos!
9. Resorts World:
First time in here and thought it was pretty huge. At least the layout made it easy to find your favorite slot or table! It was asian themed inside and first time I have walked into a disco restroom! The high limit slots also had your personal tv! One thing that boggles my mind is their rewards name… “Genting”… what does it even mean or how do you pronounce it???

10. Fontainebleau:
A newly opened casino and the tallest hotel and casino in Las Vegas. They have an odd display of a car outside and the lounger that’s made of nickels. They offered $15 free slot play, in addition to $15 credit for food and drinks. Although it’s a property that is still a work in progress, this is where I scored more bang for the buck! Lol. I didn’t really put a single penny here but was able to cash out 3x free slot play credits!

10. Off strip – The Fremont Experience:
Binion’s Gambling Hall – according to their website it’s an iconic casino in downtown Vegas that made poker famous. You’ll find the million dollar cash display here. Oh, I also tripled my cash here playing a random slot!

Golden Nugget – didn’t really play in here but checked it out. The place is poppin’ even at 3am! But, oh boy left and right were just drunk folks and those that seem to be taking pills and drugs from a ziplock bag. Didn’t feel comfortable so left downtown and headed back to the strip.
Which one did I feel the luckiest? Probably Fontainebleau.
Contrary to what I have heard about this place (been hearing that this casino is pretty tight and doesn’t really pay you out), this one actually gave me some winnings despite playing only the free slot play they give to new members like me. It wasn’t a lot but hey… a winning is a winning!
Of course, what is Vegas without the checking out and getting your belly stuffed! I will write another post about the food choices at a later time but wanted to share that during this trip, I decided to skip the regular buffet I always go to… instead I went off strip to try out a Japanese BBQ buffet… 888.

Ate pretty quick and not sure how many rounds we refilled our order. Definitely had to walk it out the strip after this meal!
One last bonus was finding this cute cafe by surprise!
