EVA Air Business Class

When I flew to Japan I booked a Premium Economy seat at about $1272 flying from San Francisco, USA (SFO) to Osaka, JAPAN (KIX) with a layover in Taipei, TAIWAN (TPE). At time of booking, business class was at least $2100. About 2 weeks prior to departure, I checked my trip status in my account and saw a bid availability for a Business Class seat. $265 was the lowest bid that was considered “Fair”, so off I bid for that amount.

3 days before departure, I received an email: “Congratulations 🎉, your bid has been accepted!“. So got excited to see how EVA Air business class would be.

From the priority check-in, to lounge access, boarding process, amenities, spacious seat, and service… I was impressed!

The lounge in Taipei was impressive, lots of available seats, the food options were scrumptious. There was no wait for the showers too. Nothing beats taking a shower after a long flight and feeling refreshed before boarding your next flight.

The configuration was 1-2-1. Spacious seat with ample storage space and enormous screen. Slippers and amenity kits were provided as with any other business class seats. Prior to departure, you’re offered refreshments of your choice.

I thought the menu for both food and beverages was also great!

I chose the Japanese cuisine. It was glorious! The note indicated that “the menu was created by chef Motozaku Nakamura, the 6th owner of Michelin 3 star restaurant “Nakamura” Kyoto Cuisine.”

I paired it with sake. Then got my dessert with matcha tea.

My overall experience with EVA Air was amazing. Would I fly EVA Air again? Absolutely!
