I don’t know what is with the color purple but I find it really attractive! What more if it is added to food… I consider it a winner!

I would try anything with ube in it. What is ube anyway?
Ube, pronounced as “ooh-bae”, is a purple yam. A starchy vegetable that is native in the Philippines. It is similar to sweet potatoes or taro, but this one has a deep purple color and is more moist.
There have been numerous recipes adding ube as a twist to their flavor. I have experimented with this as well.
If interested, check out my recipes page to explore some of my creations with ube in it. As of time of writing, I have shared at least two of what I have created with ube goodness:

I have sold quite a few of these in my TrinketsGoodsFinds shop and have completed some orders offline as well. The favorite has always been the ube pandesal (bread rolls). However, my personal favorite is the ube crinkle cookies.
What I have yet to try myself is creating ube drinks. I am not a fan of super sweet drinks, which is what I usually end up getting whenever I order from some coffee and boba shops. I just like a little hint of sweetness with the essence of ube. So far, I haven’t been successful in finding “the one”. That will be my project soon, so stay tuned for that!
