Happy 2026! Thought I would start the year with something to look forward to.

I moved to the United States around 2004 but before then I have visited and toured California and Nevada in the 1990s. During my 30s, I had this wild dream of visiting all the 50 states. I enjoy traveling and realized by then I have visited more than half of the United States. It is doable!
As of today, my current state count is 34… so that leaves me to 16 more states to go before I turn 50! I am still on my early 40s so technically, I should make it!

Out of all the states I have visited, I think nothing beats California in terms of the weather, diversity, and choices of all sorts of things you want to do, eat, or see.
Here is my current list with the year I first visited, which I will try to update whenever I visit a new state until I complete all 50 before I turn 50! In the coming weeks, I plan to have a dedicated page for US travel tips that highlights what I have done in each state and will add the link to the states below. Cheers to more new states to visit this year!
